今週の「伝説の天才」にて、ボブ・
ロス画法とかいうのが紹介されていた。
「８０分で素晴らしい絵が描ける」みたいなコピーで。
で、そこでは講師みたいな感じのオバサンがこの画法での書き方について実際に絵を描きながら教えていたのだけど、
このオバサンはあまり絵が上手いわけではなさそうだった。
昔、僕が小学生だった頃なので１０年以上前になるが、「ボブの絵画教室（ジョイ・オブ・ペインティング）」
という番組がＢＳでやっており、当時の僕はビデオ録画までして必死に見ていたものである。
この番組の見所は、番組枠内の３０分でありえないほど綺麗な風景画を描き上げることにある。描いてるのはボブ・ロスという「これぞアフロ！」
って感じのおっちゃん。絵とは関係ない話、例えば友達（リス：げっ歯類）の話などを交えながら絵を描く。
ちなみに吹き替えは石井隆夫という人で、この人の声がまた異常に眠気を誘う。
絵の具の混色などに手違いがあった時などの口癖は、
『失敗はないんです。全ては楽しいアクシデントなんです』
実際、どこに手違いがあったの？って感じに仕上がるっているので、もはや驚愕としか言えないのであるが。
ところで、前述のオバサン講師が同じようなことを口走っていたが、……どう見ても失敗ですなー。やっぱボブはスゲー。
上の写真は、小学生当事にこのボブ･ロス画法を駆使して僕が描いたものである。
「スッゲ！俺スッゲッ！！」とか思った。自分は絵が上手いとか勘違いしてしまったりもした。
まぁ、よく見るまでもなく拙い出来であるのだけど、初めて油絵を描いた小学生の作品にしては中々と言えるんじゃないかな、
と自分で褒めてみる。もし今もう一度描いたらもっと上手くできるだろうか……。
どうでもいいが、小学生のときその「ボブの絵画教室」の話を教室でしまくっていた。
「ボブがさー、ボブがさー。めっちゃ絵ぇ上手いのー！」って。
そしたらいつの間にか僕のあだ名は「ボブ兄さん」にされていた。小学生なのに……。
今ではそのあだ名も定着し、中学以降に仲良くなった友人どもはその由来も知らないのにも拘らず、僕のことを気安くボブと呼ぶ。
ある友人なんかは、『「ボブ」ってなんかカッコイイやん』とか言うが、こいつはおそらくマッチョな黒人みたいなのをその響きから想像しているのかもしれない。
ちゃうねん……ヒゲアフロやねん、ボブって。

で、あれや、知り合ってからだいぶ経つけど最近やっとボブと呼ぶのに慣れたわ。
